Set Meals - a Second Window podcast

Food podcasting for us was a little laboured. From heavy, lengthy conversations delving into the cultural appropriation of various cuisines, to white middle class food critics chuckling about *that* street food vendor they visited in 1999 whilst on their gap year, it wasn't hitting the spot for us. ⁣

Peg, Eater Insider

The guys at Eater asked us to roll down to Peg, on Hackney’s Morning Lane, to shoot some stills of the much anticipated PEG - the latest spot from the team behind Bright and P Franco.

So that’s what we did, damn it.

Summertime in February

I sent out the first Second Window newsletter after 2 days looking at it, wondering if it was the correct thing to do. I’m not an over-thinker (that’s a lie) but the thought of something dropping into somebody’s inbox on a Monday morning, something laden with spelling errors and missing links, makes me feel sick.

That being said, none of the above actually happened and the newsletter was extremely well received. So much so that a couple of days after anxiety had dissipated, Rachel hit me up asking if we were available to shoot a project they (Food & Lycra, an all girl trio championing the fine balance of fitness and food) were planning with Kind.

We ironed out dates, concepts, general production admin and set a date over a weekend in February. Here’s a few behind the scenes/offcuts from the day. The final product will, no doubt, fall into your inbox with a misspelled subject line soon enough, if you’re lucky.
